Leupold\'s Illuminated Reticle durability

I'm thinking of buying one of the Mark 4's in a 4.5-14x50 Illuminated MIL-DOT, but not sure about duribility of the Illuminated reticle. What do you guy's think, Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

they are only covered under a 2 or 3 year warranty, the electircal stuff that is. Call leupold and ask them yourself. the electronics on illuminated scopes is only warranty'd for 2 or 3 years.....just an FYI
