I have a Remington 700 stainless less than a few months old that I just recently noticed was scraping the brass casings when I loaded ammo in the magazine and cycled the bolt. I had a Remington repair shop polish the feed ramp, magazine lips, as well as the magazine box edges, however it's still leaving a very light scratch on the brass when I cycle the action with the bolt. My question is, is this normal? Also, would lightly scratching the brass hurt anything? I should probably also mention that when ammunition is not loaded into the mag box there are no scratches present when I cycle bolt. It's really only one light scratch alongside the brass after it was sent in for repair.
