Buddy of mine has a ~6month old REM700 PSS and has just had the extractor literally fall off the bolt. He called REM and they said that the extractors now just snap in a grove in the bolthead. They are no longer riveted or pinned into the bolthead.
My question is how reliable are these new extractors? Has anyone else had problems with them?
I suggested that he have a Sako or M-16 style extractor installed instead of putting the new extractor REM is sending him back on.
Thoughts?
