I'm getting a Redding Bushing Neck Die. I realize I need to get the exact sizing figued out, but what would be a good starting point for a 300 WSM factory Savage chamber and Winchester cases. If you are loading 300 WSM now with winchester cases, I would love it if you could throw out an average wall thickness for winchester that you are seeing. I may buy 2 - 3 bushings to get started, but I would like to be in the ball park.

Measure the OD of a fired case. Subtract.004" and start there. If this is a factory chamber you may have to subtract more than .004".

Well, this is a factory chamber. I was hoping to look at this from bullet out. i.e:
Bullet = .308
Case Wall = ?? (Win Case)
Neck tension = -.01" to -.03"

So, my questions:
About what neck tension should I be using with Berger 210 VLD?

On average, what is the case wall thickness in the neck for Win 300 WSM brass?
