Question - Kimber Model 82 22 Hornet

I just picked up a Kimber Model 82 22 Hornet. I bought 75 rounds of ammo and also already had powder and primers. I read somewhere that the the Kimber handled the .224 bullets. Does anyone know? I found some .224 36 grain bullets, and thought I would try them out. When a person measures the bore size, what do you measure, the widest point, or the tightest point in relation to the threads?
