I have a Winchester model 70 featherweight .243 serial # 555849. Made in USA Winchester proof steel. Manufacture date is 1962. The stock looks to be like a walnut swirl. It is in good condition for that old, but I wouldn't say excellent. Probably 80-85%. Does anyone know a Ballpark value if I want to sell it? Thank You

Any model 70 that is pre-64 is worth quite a bit in good condition. I can't give you a quote on exact price but in really good condition I would say its easily worth a little over $1,000. Im not an expert but thats what Iv seen others go for in the ball park. Someone will chime in that knows a lot more than I do. Hope this helps! :) BTW sounds like a really nice rifle!

Thats not exactly true it is dependent on alot of things. I would look it up in the blue book of gun values.
