gun)finally got my DPMS LR-204 in and got to play with it.am having probs with denting the brass.while i was working my load and trying to find my max powder i got to about 27 gr and still no pressure signs but i noticed a small dent in the side of the case about half way down.not a big dent but a dent.i had been recording every shot and noticed that somewhere back around 25.5 grains the dent wasnt present.im new to the ar style but not really to reloading.just looking for some knowledge as to why this could be?

oh by the way.i went back and loaded five at 25.5gr varget with 32gr vmax and shot a five shot group under a half inch @100YDS,four were under .25!trigger has 10 miles of creep but okay on bench when u get used to it.

I would assume the dent is happening after fireing or the pressure in the chamber should push it out. May-be just may-be the higher loads are ejecting a little harder and sending the brass into the brass deflector causing this? Pad it with some tape(a few layers) and see what happens.
