So I have a nightforce ATACR 5x25x56 on my 6.5x284 and absolutely love it, I could not afford a second one at this time so I bought a Vortex viper pst gen II to put on my my 280ai. Figured the ai would be my western rifle and keep the 6.5x284 for whitetail. Question is would you guys put the atacr on the ai or leave it on the other gun?

I've ran into similar situations with having a nicer optic on one rifle vs the other. I usually opt to leave the as is due to saving components because if I swapped, I would be using more components to sight in. I do eventually plan to swap scopes on two rifles I have but I just haven't go around to it. The past gen 2 is a nice scope. You could leave it a few years until you save some more cash, sell it then and upgrade. But like I said, the gen 2 is pretty nice.
