If you're going to stick with a "long action caliber" I would do a 280 ai. If you want to get more horse power out of it, I would run a 7wsm. You'll beat 3000 fps with a 26" barrel and a 180. I have a load with 162s at 3190 fps and another with 180s at 3040 FPS. Great round. Likewise the 280ai will run about 150 FPS slower.
