I ordered some offset iron sights for my hunting rifle. Thought it might be a good idea. I mean, I'v nearly stepped on allot of white-tail does and I have had cow elk run by me at 30 yards. What if one day i find the trophy of my life 30 yards away and I cant find him in the scope. Offset iron sights seem to be the solution, tilt the gun sideways and boom, your tagged out. I guess mounting is a problem, I could put them on the front and back of my 20 MOA rail though.

If you can get them mounted solidly, seems quite practical. Unsightly, but practical.

It works well for AR's. They're just easier to find a mounting solution.
