this is a trojan horse law. it is designed to create a legal precedent to circumvent the Constitution and render the 2nd Amendment meaningless, allowing an unelected political appointee to take your property with the stroke of a pen. All they need is a willing liar to make an "anonymous tip". How hard will it be to find an activist who is willing to call in anonymous, no-proof accusations against gun owners which will result in the cops knocking on your door to confiscate all of your guns? In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if some jurisdictions even skip the anonymous phone call. After all, who do they have to answer to?

anonymous, classified accusers and agents who do not answer to Constitutional law are characteristics of socialist Secret Police, not Peace Officers.

It is also a violation of the 5th Amendment as well "...nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law."

Have a look at the 6th Amendment "...to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense."

If these violations occurred outside of the context of the 2nd Amendment the ACLU would be screaming bloody murder. Have not heard so much as a peep out of them, have you?
