My First Build

    This is my first build the specs are.

    Savage DP TA
    P.T.G. Bolt Body - Ground to .6995 for .0015 clearance.
    Savage LA Mag Bolt Head - Modified to work with the SA.
    N.S.S. Precision Recoil Lug.
    PacNor PreFit Barrel - Chambered .338Edge/Super Match/5groove/10twist/straight taper to 1" at the muzzle/26.5in long with out MB.
    Muzzle Brake - which I made, and works well.
    Ken Farrell Scope Base - 30moa pinned to the action by me.
    Night Force Scope Ring's - Low.
    H.S. Percision Stock.
    D.E. Cheek Piece.
    Duracoated - Ultra Flat Desert Tactical Tan
    Bedded by me.

    A very big thanks to Kevin Cram At MCR for truing the action, headspacing the barrel and installing and timing the brake. Oh, and an even
    bigger Thanks for getting it done in the time you quoted me.

    Very well done!!!! WOW I like that, with a good brake shooting the larger 338's just put a smile on a guys face don't it :D What weight did it come in at?

    It ways 13.7lbs according to the bathroom scale.

    Yes the 300gr's do put a smile on your face.:D

    Oh and the coal is 4.13, lots of room for powder.:cool:

    The gun looks like it turned out very nice. Love the photos with the mountains in the background. Can't wait to see the next photos of the rifle leaning up against your trophy !!

    I also like the rifle and the scenery, I've never actually seen snow. We don't get it here in my part of Australia.

    I took the pix over the weekend in north east Washington around 5000ft.

    Nice-looking gun and I really like the brake. The more I hear and read about Kevin Cram the more I like him. Good post.

    Nice Video. High marks on quality.......not everybody would show their misses! looks like you got the drops worked out to a grand. what is your load with the bergers? good looking rig, well done. AJ

    Great shooting! This gets me even more anxious to get my Savage 338 EDGE back!
