It seems like the AL tipped bullets must turn sideways and then then the AL tip tears off the front of the bullet? Do you think that is what is happening? It would certainly be destructive... was the "wound" fairly straight?
 
Looks to me like the front half pretty much desintegrated and left a FMF behind. Sure no classic mushroom of any sort there. Guess time will tell how they do on animals. At $1.65 a piece, im not rich enough to try them.
