Have a new model 70 super grade, beautiful gun, the trigger is not good. took it out the stock and it seems to have some set screws on the front top of trigger housing, the screws seem to be covered with some type of epoxy so they won't move.

Has anyone adjusted the trigger on the new model 70 supergrade

Thanks for any help

FIRST LET ME STATE THAT I AM NOT A GUNSMITH BUT I MAY BE ABLE TO SHED A LITTLE LIGHT ON YOUR TRIGGER. I AM ASSUMING THAT THIS IS THE M.O.A. TRIGGER SYSTEM. ACCORDING TO THE WINCHESTER 2010 CATALOG THE 2 SCREWS ON THE FRONT OF THE TRIGGER HOUSING ARE ADJUSTMENT SCREWS. THE TOP ONE CLOSEST TO THE RECEIVER IS THE OVERTRAVEL ADJUSTMENT SCREW, THE NEXT ONE DOWN IS THE PULL WEIGHT ADJUSTMENT SCREW. I DON'T SEE ANY WAY OF REDUCING CREEP AS THAT SEEMS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF WITH A SPRING. HOPE THIS HELPS AND MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE HAS SOME BETTER ANSWERS.gun)
