Loads for a savage 111 LRH in a 300 win mag with a 1-10 twist

if your long range hunter will fit 338 lapua length rounds than measure your lands and back off any were from .01 to .1 (timing)

for loads set to lands
74.5 grains retumbo
230 grain berger otm
2750 to 2800 depending on your barrel length

74.7 grains retumbo
225 grain hornady bthp
2750 to 2800 depending on barrel length

for loads set to 3.34 (oal)

74 grains retumbo
225 or 230 grain hornady or berger
2750 to 2800 depending on bl

all these loads show good tight brass after 10 firings with no need to trim case both winchester and remington brass
hornady brass needed trimming at 8gun)

Mine liked 200 gr. Accubonds and R-22 or H-1000 on the slower side at 2830 fps. Tried 180 up too 220 gr but AB did the best. Lost accruracy at higher mv. Buy the cheap $5.00 reloading book for 300 win mag and it has a ton of info.

208 Amax, Federal match 215s primers,Win brass fully prepped,4831sc, started at 71 grains moved up by .2 grains 72 grains shoots perfectly from 100 too 1471 yards.
