Hail that size is very dangerous. Many years ago we had a freak storm that produced hail that size. It did a great deal of damage.

It's been many years ago but we had a storm that dropped grapefruit sized hail and it went through the roof of the barn and killed 3 of the cows.
Some of the houses had holes in their roofs and walls.
