My brother and I are headed back to Montana to try it again, up in the Crazies. Took a cow last year in the deep snow, seems to be a much better chance this time weather wise!

I hunted the Crazies a few years back. Weather was perfect and we missed out on the elk. They moved to private before we got there. Had a very ful deer hunt however. Beautiful country.

We spotted them early, had to climb a bad hill face to get in position, and could get no closer than 400+ yards. Sat and watched them lay down and get up, about 4:30 he got up and moved into the open, clear broadside shot at 427 yards by my rangefinder 430 by the guides...practice paid off and a good set of shooting sticks.
