Like the name suggests im wondering whether a hawke vantage would work on a 223. I know you should not cheap out on scopes but my budget is tight. This not my only option but the next best thing is a burris e1 4.5-14x42 or zeiss terra 3-9x42 both are approximately 3x as much. I would like to know if anyone has experience with this line of scopes also any negatives. I will be mostly paper punching and varminting. I will also most probably be doing mostly hold over so tracking is not a deal breaker. I will also take any suggestions you have, If possible ok low light performance would be nice.

Don't complicate it unnecessarily. Eyesights are unique, look through them, pick one that fits your budget and your intended purpose and have fun with it.
