I'll have to admit, I'm biased as well. I've had nothing but great experiences with Gunwerks. I bought a Magnus chambered in 300 RUM a few years back, but my medical residency and fellowship really didn't allow of ton of free time to get out and shoot as much as I would have liked. Cleveland also doesn't offer many ranges to really stretch its legs out. The rifle shot very well but my interests in cartridges changed over that time as well. Long story short, Gunwerks took my rifle in on consignment, sold it for a great price and within a few months of ordering a 7 SAUM, I had a brand new magnus ready to roll for my elk hunt last fall. I only paid $600 dollars to basically upgrade to a new rifle and Leupold Mark 5HD.
They are definitely a stand up company and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a rifle from them again.

Ooh, how do you like that 5-25? I waffled but decided the 3.6-18 was a better fit for me.

I really like the 5-25x … I tend to prefer to have a little more magnification available, but the 3.6-18x is going to be my next purchase for a 6mm ARC AR15 build!

Obviously there are different schools of thought on the question "are Gunwerks rifles worth it"? I seriously considered going the Gunwerks route a couple of years ago. I just ran the math and determined that it was not worth it to me. As many have mentioned you can have a top GS build a rifle with top end components for a significant $$ savings. Spend your $$$ the way you want. I like working with a GS that I trust and develop a relationship. I also like saving $$ to spend on my next project.

I ended up going 20". Handles very well at that length with my 8" suppressor.
Is that the GW 8ight suppressor? Your thoughts on it?

Yep, that is the 8ight suppressor - I'm a big fan of it. I've shot it alongside my dad's TBAC Ultra 7 and feel like it's on par as far as sound suppression. I think the only downside would be the weight of it (since I have the steel version). I would definitely buy again, although now I'd go with the new Ti version.
Definitely not going to claim they are the best suppressor on the market, but I've been very happy with my purchase.
Fair review. Like you said, I think the Ti version would be a great back-country option.

Found this thread and figured I would throw in my 2 cents. In the last 30 years I have had all my rifles built for me ranging from .223-300wm and have been reloading for them for over 40 years. Most shoot really well if I do my part.
I bought a Gunwerks Nexus because I wanted a new gun with interchangeable barrels a new design and technology that this gun has to offer. This has been the most pleasurable gun to shoot that I own. The stock fit with the leather just adds that extra touch not found on others. Cycling the action is bullet proof and smooth, although it does take more force to lift the bolt than my other rifles due to the short throw. The trigger is crisp with no creep and little over travel but can not be set below 2 lbs, which I wish would be a little lower. The fit and finish is excellent.
All in all if you add up all the parts and had a smith build this or comparable gun you could save a little but you would never have this gun.
The accuracy is equal to some of my best custom builds I own. I did not buy the turn key package only the gun with two barrels, I still enjoy working up loads.
I fully understand people that want the turn key package. For a 20 year stretch in my life working 60 hours a week left little time for hunting but I did manage, couldn't and wouldn't at my age now. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another gun from them. Their service and commitment to making the best customer experience is second to none.

Gunwerks rifles, including scope, ballistic range finder and bipod provide an integrated and accurate shooting system for a price. I have a 7LRM and 6.5PRC for which I load my own ammo.

Since Netz mentioned something I forgot. I've been using their range finders from their inception. The original was better than anything on the market years ago and their new one still is. My next purchase will be their range finding binoculars and bipod.
