I'm just a dumb ol' Texas plowboy and I am not even sure I know what the word pessimism means or what a pessimist is, but I just bought a new .340 Weatherby Magnum and I am proud to be here with all you guys and gals. The last thing I want is for the government to tell me what I have or can do with my guns. Seems to me to be exactly like being sent to prison with no trial and no conviction. I do not know how the insidious taking away our guns is going to start. For a while, I had hopes that law enforcement would refuse to get involved, but after seeing what they are doing in the north with bars and gyms, I am having my doubts. If Biden puts Bozo O'Roark in charge of taking away our guns, he will have to hire Antifa and BLM to come take our guns. Won't that be a hoot? You know there's a problem when pessimism is the same thing as realism.
I come across much the sameI'm really not a pessimist even though I am sounding like one.

Also you can drop as many F bombs there as you want to if that's your thing.
You have to respect too that those who own and finance sites like this have a right to remove content if they see fit. You're in their house and not yours.
I mean no disrespect here towards you but this thread is in the "politics of hunting AND GUNS" which is what we are discussing. IMO if someone doesn't want to read such posts or threads of this nature don't click on them. The freedom of choice. There are other sites that have political forums. try accuratereloading.com

Forbiding politics on say the Equipment Discussion forum is fine and makes some sense. So every discussion of a new bipod isn't interrupted by somebodies pet political theory. But politics is too important to the sport and lifestyle this whole site is about; there should be a forum on here where politics is acceptable.

I am not for vulgarity and beating other posters up, but I do hope that threads as important as this thread, and this thread has remained very civil, will be given the priority deserved. Gun control is, and will be, the topic of the next many years.
Yes, Its is. One political party is censoring the other and if that's not enough many of us remain quiet because that party says we are hurting others feeling by expressing the truth. Yes, the truth has always divided people and always will. So, the truth is suppressed. So where did the moral compass of the human race come from? What really tells us what is right and what is wrong. If its something that we just come up with on our own over the years, that really doesn't mean anything at all from an eternal stand point or a modern day standpoint because even as far advanced as we are over every other creature on this planet, we are all flawed and have been from the beginning. So when it boils down to having convictions about what the truth is concerning what is truly right or what is truly wrong, who do people go to for that answer? Where did their beliefs on that originate from? Another human just like themselves? A politician? CNN, NBC, FOX News, Facebook, Twitter? It seems the world is leaning left more and more every time you turn around.

This is something everyone should really think about.
And I am just pointing out that the owners of these sites probably are smart enough to understand that threads like this one are in their best self-interest and by allowing them to continue they are increasing their bottom line. By other forum standards, this thread is civil and mild-mannered.Possibly an advertiser complained?
I'm just pointing out that this site is privately owned and that they don't necessarily care about your right to free speech as much as you do. I've seen the same happen on other sites. Their site, their rules.
Copy and paste to a new or this thread. Is it an attachment? Was the god help us all thread deleted I have something everyone should read but don't know how to get from my email to these forums. Thanks David
