Getting High on VO2Max

Speed kills.

Wonder how many times a person has to learn that. I was feeling good so I took a day off and then the next day I pushed the pace real hard. Would you believe tendinitis was all I got from that. Hard to believe I am still that stupid.
 
Thanks for the writeup! Almost all of my hunting is done at altitude (on the island of Hawaii) but I live on Oahu now where it is relatively flat. Even if I were doing 15-20 miles a week on Oahu, I couldn't last more than a few miles at 7500 ft before I was gasping for air and walking at a snails pace. Oddly enough, recovery time was very quick once I stopped walking....

I think I'll include more interval runs/farklets into my training. Mahalo!
