Feeder battery solar panel issue

I put this in the deer hunting forum because I'm sure I'm not the only one with this idea. Buyer beware.

I bought a couple Amazon feeder battery solar panels and 12v feeder batteries. I'm hooking this up to my game cameras so I don't have to constantly change batteries.

I hooked up my multimeter to it and it shows over 140 volts in the sunlight. In the shade will be 6-45v.

I tested them both, and they are both like that.

I tested my batteries and they are 13v (+/-).

Surely I'm doing something wrong. That can't be right.

It appears that you have your negative lead (black) plugged into the wrong port on your multimeter. It should be in the one marked Com. You also need to rotate your selector to Input DCV.
