26" Weatherby Accumark Ltd. Hit 4 grand but bolt got sticky so I backed it up.Heck yeah! Barrel length?
That's crazy…but I believe it. I got a Barnes 120 tac tx up to 4060 fps in my 300 win mag. 26 inch barrel. Superformance powder. So 98 grains at 3915 sounds perfectly doable.26" Weatherby Accumark Ltd. Hit 4 grand but bolt got sticky so I backed it up.
She screams. Have'nt shot a deer with it yet but it made Porky stop in his tracks. That's crazy…but I believe it. I got a Barnes 120 tac tx up to 4060 fps in my 300 win mag. 26 inch barrel. Superformance powder. So 98 grains at 3915 sounds perfectly doable.
That Barnes at warp took two deer last year. One of them had an exit wound larger than my fist. I don't have small hands haha. But it only manages 1.5-2 inch groups. So for light and fast that's more what this 257 is designed for. Accuracy wise my 300 really just prefers 200gr and up it seems. She screams. If I ever stumble upon it in the wild I'll grab someI prefer RL26 it's given me the best speeds and great accuracy.
I bought an 8 pounder when I got the chance and I use it sparingly. If I ever stumble upon it in the wild I'll grab some
I hear ya I'm down to my last 4 lbs of it ...I picked up a keg of ramshot magnum at a local shop to try as it usually seems available but haven't messed with it yetIf I ever stumble upon it in the wild I'll grab some
