Hi there, Does any one have some good loads for a Rem 7mm? I am reloading for a friend and have never shot this caliber before. All receipes welcome.

I load 69grs of RE25 behind a 162gr SST w/fed match primers. This is a max load{before pressure signs} in my savage 112. This wasn't the fastest powder I tried but is a 1/4 inch load. Very devastating on deer!

My favorite and most accurate load to date for my 7mm RM has been the 150gr Nosler Ballistic Tip or Swift Scirocco ahead of 67gr of RL22 pushed by the CCI CR2. Velocity was just under 3150fps and accuracy was 1/4". Both bullets were .010" off the LaG. Johnny K.

Current Deer load is 162gr Hornady A-max, 20/1000's inch off rifling. 59gr IMR-4831. Best 5 shot group is 5/8" at 200yds. It is very consistant group wise and also velocity wise (around 2900fps. This is near max from the Hornady book. I use Norma brass and rem 9 1/2 primer.

Custom 7mm Rem Mag, 24" #4 Shilen, Rem 700, 150 ballistic tip, IMR4831. 3 shots, 1 hole, 100 yards. WW brass, WLRM primers, necks turned. Bullets were all weighed and sorted, as well as brass. Finished ammo was checked in RCBS Precision Mic. I do not use an expander button when sizing brass. I use a carbon-graphite/100% alcohol solution to lube the inside case neck.

My best load as of now is the Barnes 150 "x" moly.
Load:
<font color="red">67 of RL22
Vel.3215
Fed.Mag</font>
Rem. 24" - bullets seated .050's of lands.
I have two times now dropped 3 shots into one hole with this load.
