While at the range I´ve seen that my first shot is faster than the subsequent ones, i.e., 1st is 3050, 2nd, 3rd.. at about 2950 ft/s...

Rifle has not been recently cleaned, and this has happened with 160 accubonds and 154 sst´s out of a 7 rm.

Anyone know why, or is it that the chrony wakes up with the first shot /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif???

That's odd because I have always noticed exactly the opposite. First 1-2 rounds record noticeably low velocities before they settle down at the higher average velocity.

I do, however, always start with a clean barrel.

I typically see a slower first round coming from a clean bore as well. I'll typically see about 3166, then 3190-3210 then stabilizing at 3220-3230 something for a few rounds until its starts to get too dirty.

That´s why I dont know what´s going on.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
