Defiance Action Updated Pricing

I don't think the other action companies will increase by 70 to 90%. As soon as I got word that defiance got bought out, I knew they were going to increase the prices just like with mcmillian. I went out and sourced several actions. I was easily able to get a tenacity action for 895$. Now they are $1600-$1700.

Question would be what action takes their place for around $1000? Defiance tenacity were a fabulous action for less than a grand. I think I would pick Big Horn. I'm not sure what a lone Peak, bat or impact actions run For their intro/budget line

Impact doesn't have an intro or budget line. But I would buy an impact hands down for a non-hunting rifle.

I am definitely out on the Tenacity, too little difference between that and the Deviant. I still have one new one Tenacity sitting in the safe. I had been buying these, they were a good value, and saved me a days worth of work on the lathe truing a 700 and working the bolt over. I also am not sure I want my money going to the new owners.

Better yet, check out the dumpster fire on Sniper's Hide ... thread title, "Defiance bought out" ... the last couple of days have been extra spicy ... this thread is not specifically about price increases, but rather the recent ownership change and how it has shaken up the company overall, to include price increases.

We have used Defiance Actions for years and really like them. If they have a Management Change, still have the quality would continue to buy, BUT if they have a 50 % increase will look elsewhere. Only problem is other companies building ACTIONS are going to follow suit with price increases.
Custome rifles were not for the hobby shooter or basic hunter anyway. It may get to the point where even should say only custom rifles will not be affordable to the common shooter/hunter. Just like the costs of Tags and hunting leases are getting out of reach.
This is not just happening in our HUNTING SHOOTING Circle. It is in everything we do.
I looked at Europe/Asia 40-50 years ago and thought WOW we are so lucky to be United States Citizens and live in the good old USA.. Those people had most of their basic rights taken away, TAXES were 70-80% and living in a Socialist society. I felt sorry for them.
Now I look at the direction the USA is heading???????
