My son and I hunted deer and elk on the west slope. My boy took a buck of a lifetime. Funny thing is he spotted it while packing elk quarters to the truck where the rifle was. After exchanging a pack frame for the rifle, the hunt was on. He shot it at 250yds with a 30-06 And had no idea how big it was until walking up on it. It scored 198.
After passing some 160-170 class deer (I care about big frames/width more than score), I harvested a 291/2" wide 3x4.
In addition to deer, we both punched our elk tags. The hunting gods were good to us
