DougM and I are driving out next year and will be hunting this area for elk and mulies. We will be camping and this is a DIY hunt. Any info or advice about this area or what we should expect will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Shawn

What season are you hunting?

I do not know anything about the unit but am just curious as I may try to hunt in Colorado.

Second season, the deer are not open during the first.

My cousin got a nice bull elk out of that area 2 years ago, I'll have to check to make sure but I know it was south of the steamboat springs area. I'll let you know what ever he knows...
