found a good way to mount a karsten or similar cheak piece without drilling holes,,,idustrial velcro works sweet, easy to take off for barrel cleaning and holds steady.

Not sure what brand you used of Industrial velcro, But I had some come off fiberglass in cold weather. If it does stick during cold weather I'd love to know brand. I have a project I need something that sticks in cold.

    Thanks,
    Gene

PS, very good Idea on Cheek rest to avoid drilling holes

Funny, where I need it work is on my boat in Chesapeake bay in dec and jan. while waterfowl hunting. I've tried every possible glue and sticky velcro i've seen but when its cold it peels right off the fiberglass on boat.

Have never seen this before. Do you have any idea on cost or comments to it's usability in the field?

if you want it to never come off,,,theres a 2 part opoxy glue called G5,,,this stuff is incredible,,,i put a carbon fiber tube over a sporter barrel, and filled the void with this stuff,,a couple weeks later i thought id remove it with my lathe,,,this stuff was hard as a rock,,and ive used it to glue alot of odds ends,,,if you get the five minute set up stuff,,that velcro wont come off untill h!@# freezes over, good luck
