Mike Lucas and his products are first class and possibly the only rod guide that really protects the bore from the rod. Most commercial rods guides are bored too large and don't fit the rod. If a brush will go through the rod guide, logic dictates that it cannot protect the bore.

Lucas is the best I have handled, my franken-guide pieced together from the parts I liked from 2 others works rather well though

I have a couple Lucas bore guides and they are top notch.

I just wish he made some up and had them on hand for the more popular standard stuff like a model 700 in 223, 243, 308.
