i almost got the sps tac but decided on the varmint since it had the longer barrel. i can probably just find dope charts online for my ammo with this length barrel, i might have had to do testing myself with a shorter barrel. i wanted the shorter barrel to save weight but it only saved like a lb so i said the heck with that. they are a very nice gun though and i like the more compact feel of them.
