I just bought an ATACR 7-35F1. Mounted it with a Near Mfg Alphamount. Whichever scope you choose I'd take a look at the Near mount
I have been really happy with the Leupold mark V optics. They a bit heavy but the glass is good and the turrets and reticles are awesome. Zero stop, etc. for hunting I don't think anything more expensive would give you any additional advantage in actually harvesting game.Taking the plunge soon. Subscribing to the adage: Buy once, cry once. Whittling down options in a new higher end optic, and a ZCO caught my eye. Anyone own one or have experience with Zero Compromise? Scares the bejeezers outta me to spend that much on good glass, but know quality glass is king--especially for my old peepers. Also in the mix are Leup Mk5HD, Steiner T5Xi, March FX, and Kahles 624i. Would love a TT but not sure I could get that past The Wife without a hot tongue and a cold shoulder. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Zco and i used American rifle company rings so easy to mount and get scope level. Only downside is the weightTaking the plunge soon. Subscribing to the adage: Buy once, cry once. If (I) posted that much info IT'd Take A Weekend For me to use one finger to keyboard to finish something that long,,,HATs OFF to LANCE...Lance:
What a great write-up! That should be a sticky.
Exactly my conclusion is what prompted the thread--just trying to get my hands on one--may have to go visit Lance and take him reloading suppliesA lot of good information and comments in this thread so I'll just get to the point. Looked at a lot of scopes and ended up with a ZC527 on a Spuhr mount. In the end, it was an easy decision for me; ZC offered TT performance for $1000 less.
