Burris six x Discontinued

I received an email from Burris stating that the six x is discontiued. I have one and quite like the scope, and the stormcoat. I had inquired about any others in their line with stromcoat for my son. Anyone heard anything about this. It seams a bit odd, as they have been touting this scope quite a while.
