Bolt Advice

I'm planning a .284 build on a Remington 700 action that I have. However, the original rifle is a 7mm Mag so I need a different sized bolt face. What do you think is the best option:

1) Sell or trade current bolt for used standard bolt
2) Sell current bolt and buy new cusom bolt
3) Have current bolt modified by gunsmith (is this even possible/advisable?)
4) Other??

You can bush the bolt and install a new extractor, and not change headspace.
But if its being rebarreled the cost of a new PTG bolt minus the handle is about the same.
A new bolt is about 120.00 as is Sako extractor installed, just need to have a handle attached to the bolt.
