So I just picked up a bat igniter action, I have a manner LRH stock and NF 2-25 ATACR. but thinking I might order a foundation Revelation. And either a Bartlein heavy palma 28" barrels or the sendero. I plan on using 300 gr berger with n570 .
My big question is do I build a 338 lapua imp or do the 338 terminator? This will be a hunting rifle. And built as what I call a landing rifle. That does not go far for the truck maybe a mile or so hike to over look big country.

338 Terminator if it was me especially since your building from scratch. Il take 3050 vs 2850-2900 with the 300gr bergers on a "landing" rifle. I see no down side of going bigger. Ive owned some big 338s. A 300gr Berger going past 3000fps is impressive. I would just make sure the scoped rifle finishes at 16lbs or heavier preferably. And while the manners lrh stock is awesome for a light weight LR build. I would go with a heavier stock to get a little more weight in the rear since you will be using a 28" heavy Palma contour. I had a 29" heavy Palma 338 edge Imp running 300gr at 2980fps and I liked shooting the rifle much better when I had a significant amount of lead put in the butt of the stock, made it easier to spot shots to. That rifle was 15.8lbs with scope and bipod, I wouldn't go any lighter for sure.

My dad has a Terminator on the LRKM, and is pushing the 300's @3060, 30" tube, with 106gr N570 I believe. I have heard of some guys getting speeds around 3150 plus and keeping amazing accuracy with the Terminator. I have shot it way out there, it is very impressive. He has the 7-35 ATACR on it, matches up well with the guns capabilities.

I'm looking hard at the foundation stock that's 4 lbs so i should be around 15.5-16lbs ish. I plan on getting the ti 3 pro brake I hear they work amazing . I have never had a 338. I'm hoping to get around 3000-3050 fps .

Yes the srs ti pros are awesome, I have 6 now. I would look at the ti pro heavy for this build.

My 338 Edge with a 29" heavy Palma with break and a sniper filled McMillan A3 weighs 16lbs 10 oz as shown and is pretty comfortable to shoot 300gr Berger's at 2950.

Have you given the 338-378 any thought. With a 30" barrel you should be real close to your 3000 FPS goal.
