Best varmint or tactical rifle ever bought

Are you asking what our best one is/was? That would be my first rifle, Win M70 HBV in 308. Awesome shooting rifle and many prairie dogs died from it. A few deer along the way as well. How about you?

The best varmint rifles I ever owned were:

savage 12fv 223
savage 12bvss 223

Had to sell the 12fv when times got tight, then upgraded to the 12bvss when things got better. Then times got tight again and I sold the 12bvss. I'd still have them if my wife wouldn't have gotten a credit card.

Remington Sendero in 7mmRemMag (big varmints!)

Savage 110FP .223 Rem
Remington 700 VS (Varmint Synthetic) in .22-250 Rem (HS Precision stock)
Remington 700 VS (Varmint Special) in .243 Win (BDL wood stock)

Best Tactical rifle ever bought and still own:
Remington 700 Varmint in .308 with factory fluted (blued) barrel, syn stock
Consistant tack driver with 168 grain Hp (factory or Geoargia Arms reloads)
Even after the barrel heats up, this rifle keeps them right on target.
Good shootin' to all.

Ruger 1V in 25-06 (sold...tainted...bad Karma)
Ruger 77 Varmint in 25-06 (sold for tuition)
Remington Sendero SF in .25-06 Rem (still have)

These are only because Nate isn't done with the 2 rifles he is building for me now ;)

I see you have owned the Sendero and the 700P in 7mm Rem Mag. I am considering one of these two. Was there a considerable difference in the accuracy between the two rifles? I like the bare bones KISS following 700P, but more people tend to lean toward the Sendero.gun)
