Took this guy in Oklahoma a few days ago, a young 8 that I should have let walk. It was the last hour of the last day, it was raining off and on all day and I was just "done" LOL
30-06 and 168 gr Berger right at 100 yards. I would have shot him at 150 (still a short shot) but he was walking towards me and I waited for him to give me a quartering shot. Found what was left of the jacket under the skin on the off side.

Thanks guys, he is actually a nice buck for me also where I live. This was a guided trophy hunt where there was the potential for some really big deer and they encourage you to try and hold out for bigger deer. I'm still happy with him.
