I have a Remington 700, 26 in barrel mounted with a Huskemaw 5-20X50 scope. I am looking for an ATV boot that will accomodate the rifle and scope. I called Kolpin and they said that they do not have one that the scope will fit in. The measurement from the windage to the paralax knob is 3-in. Are there other options out there that makes a boot that will work? Thanks Al

I have a rem 700, 25" barrel with same huskema scope. I took my rifle into 3 stores to find a ATV boot because rifle/scope would not fit into my old kolpin and I ended up with another kolpin that is just snug but works fine, it fact I now prefer the snug fit in that I feel there is now less chance of any rifle movement in the newer one. So - bottom line is - I think kolpin makes a unit that will fit your needs.
Other than being a little larger the only difference between my old kolpin versus the newer one is the older unit had a hinge on back lid where my newer unit the back boot comes complely off the unit to remove your rifle.

I think they call it the Kolpin "Gun Transport 6.0". That's what I have and it holds my custom rifle with a 28" barrel plus muzzle brake, topped with 6.5-20X Leupold LRT, which has the big knobs. It fits just fine with about 2" of length to spare.

I really like my Kolpin 6.0.
It slips into a bracket mounted on the rear rack of my ATV. With the removal of two lock pins, the case can be slid out of the bracket and used like any other padded hard case to protect and transport the rifle, and its virtually air tight when closed. If it weren't for this model of Kolpin, I'd be at a loss on how to transport my long range rifle over rough terrain on my ATV.
