Looking at the numbers a 6.5x47L can do, and I shoot a 6x47L and I know I can push a 115gr in 3055fps, then I would feel that a 115 Berger .257 could be pushed with no problem at 3000+fps. However the B.C. is less in the .257, But Wildcat Bullets are making some neat .257 bullets now and was wondering if anybody else might have any insight.
I read a while back Kirby Allen is making some new Quarter Bores and wow!, the speed he can put behind those things!!!

Anyhow..gotta go

I think bullet selection would be better if you stayed with the 6.5. If you just need/want a quarter bore then it seems like a good idea.
