7mm Norma magnum

Hi has anybody here any practical exprience of the 7mm Norma mag ?

What thoughts process you went through before finally made you commit ?

Have you regretted it ?

What hardware have you committed to ?

I plan to use this for long range shooting up to 1200 metres with silencer

I would like it to be a portable rig about 10 pounds including scope at most

I would love mag fed so choice of bottom Metal is limited

26 inch barrel ? For complete combustion ?

First I've heard of this cartridge . I first thought is was a 308 Norma Mag necked down ?
