Trying to come up with a good load for a friends 7mm magnum. Looking at loading a 140grn Accubond bullet and I've been told that H4831 is a good powder to use.

Any ideas?

There are many good powders for the 7mmRM. IMR 4350 H4350 RL22 H4831/SC just to name a few.

I have a nice load with IMR4831 and a 150 Btip.

You can find a very good load with any 4350, 4831, or Reloder 22 with that bullet weight.

For 140 gr 7mmRM, 66 gr Re17 is within 2 gr of short brass life.

Most published 7mmRM loads can be beat by a well loaded 7x57 Mauser.

Most published max loads are lawyered down, but published 7mmRM loads are in a class by themselves for being erroneously wimpy.

i found the accubond to be very accurate. i used both h-4831 ( 69.4) and re-19 (62.6). i had to drop a tenth of a grain from a 139 horn to get the same velocity. i have not shot any game with the accubond. one of my friends shot completely through an elk with it. i found that 215 primers gave higher vel and higher es. i found that the 250, 9.5m, and wlrm shot same groups and simliar velocity. i could interchange them with my load and my rfile and still track the kenton knobb. you don't say what rifle. my 7mm is a sendero with a krieger barrel.
