7mm groups @ 200

It could just be the "factors beyond your control" stacking up against you (like winds that are gusty, and constantly changing direction - like it was around here yesterday), as most of them will square, each time you double the distance.

I once shot a 5-group of holes at 150 that could be COMPLETELY covered by a razor blade, with my out-of-the-box savage 7mm rem mag. I could see the hits "walking" from left to right as the barrel got hotter and hotter between the 5 shots. But for all intents and purposes, it WAS wind-free at the time.
 
both of my 7mm shoot better at 200 then 100, this was today at 200yards

I noticed at 100 yards the bullets are not yet stabilized, try making a load for 200 yards

I use 70.5 retumbo, Berger 168 VLD

What kind of stock is that on the savage in the top pic?? Fine looking rig for sure.
