I think you can use 6.5 SST to fire form 6.5 SS brass, can't you Rich ?
yes you could. The neck would end up a little short thoughI think you can use 6.5 SST to fire form 6.5 SS brass, can't you Rich ?
The ss comes approx .012" longer than the sst because of shrinkage in forming the 40 degree shoulder.yes you could. The neck would end up a little short though
call or text after Tuesday@elkaholic Any updates on the 6.5 Sherman max? I have a Tikka action sitting around and I think this is the cartridge to go with
No, but a bit of interest there. Ill probably be offering it later on but it could be done right now using the ss reamer and max gauge along with 7 max bushing dies.Anyone have a 6.5 Sherman Max chambered yet?
I should have them even before thatI hope you have dies and reamer for Feb 2020 I was gonna do a PRC but then I would have had to have a long pipe to hit decent velocity with 160 matrix or 156 EOL. With the max it will out run SAUM so a 22 inch pipe should push either one around 3K now that's worth the extra effort over the PRC in my books. This combo has next years Trophy Mule deer tag written all over it.
It will! 3302 is smokin' for the ss thoughJust went through my book my 6.5 Sherman with 140 was 3302 if you figure that the MAX will out run that's awesome
