So I'm currently building a PRC on a Tikka Lite action with 24" Lilja barrel really have no experience with this caliber so for my reloading I'm starting with these components if anyone uses these combinations would love some feedback on performance good or bad on deer/elk

I am not minimizing anything with this post. You are just shooting a deer and they are not hard to kill in my experience. Those two bullets are great hunting bullets....FREAKING GREAT!! Obviously only a couple animals I have seen killed with the ABLR and it worked perfectly. The PARTITION IS THE BEST "PREMIUM" HUNTING BULLET EVER for anything not needing 500gr solids. Clunk!.....that is the sound of the MIC bouncing off the antlers when I dropped it.

I'm shooting a 139 Scenar and Retumbo out of a GA Precision rifle. One hole load, I haven't killed anything with it yet, I hope to change that this year.

You'll have no problem killing deer or elk with those bullets if you do your part and work up a solid accurate load and practice and do your part behind the trigger.

I've really enjoyed my 6.5 PRC, I've mostly shot 143 ELDX from it but all critters shot with it from 58 yards to 496 yards died with one shot. That's 8 deer, an antelope, and a cow elk(496).

What twist is your Lilja barrel? The 150 ABLR may need a 7.5.

My pards have killed deer and elk aplenty with the 142 ABLR out of their 6.5x284s, so I would expect the 150 to do the same.

Wow how did you score those bullets and powder? Been looking for a year!
But the 6.5 PRC is a great round. I have it in browning max LR and currently using 143gr ELDx RL26 @3030fps.

I don't like accubonds, the original or the lr. The partition is a good bullet. I also don't like rl26 due to the temp sensitivity. vvn565 is what I would use. I'd also consider the 140 berger elites, 140 eldm, 143 eldx, 147eldm - in that order.

Im using RL-26 with 135 A-Tips and they work very well. The gun shoots extremely well also, I have no problem keeping it in the .3's.

You don't need or really want a partition for Deer.

If you want one bullet for both Deer and Elk the Accubond or Accubond LR would be my choices in the Nosler Lineup.

For powder my go to's are RL23, RL26, RL33 and H1000. H1000 is usually slower than the others but it's extremely consistent and not at all temperamental. I shoot in in everything from the 6.5LRM to 300RUM.

What distances are you going to hunt at? I hunted over in the valley for elk and there weren't too many shots over 400 yards. That was in clear cuts only, the rest of the shots would have been closer dense forest shots. If so high velocity might not be needed. Just an accurate load. If the shots are going to be 400 yards and less I'd probably choose the Partition and be a one load for everything. Which is what I tend to do for deer and elk.
