.50 cal API / M8 Steel Core Penetrator knife?

General question that i just thought of....Picked up a few of the steel penetrators that were inside 50cal API round, wondered if they were good enough steel / or the "right type of steel" to have a knife forged from them.

Any knife smiths out here?

Can a decent blade be made out of 50 cal steel penetrators? I've got about 8 of them, thought it would be an interesting conversation piece....1000 meter shots turned in to knife. "Sniper knife" lol.
