338edge+rem 700 action?

I would like to use a Rem 700 30-06 action as a base for a 338edge shooting 300g bullets.
What need to be done to the action to make it work? I plan on trading the bolt for a Mag bolt and going with an aftermarket mag system.
I take the bottom of the action needs to be opened up to feed the 300 grainers. I have all the equipment to do all the work myself so smith cost are not an issue.

Any advice will be muchley appreciated.
