I have taken several deer with the Sierra 110hp sitting on 95gr of 7828...o.a.l. 3.445
in my gun this is not a real hot load but very accurate. If you are shooting at night your shots will probably be 350 yds or closer, this load will work great for this.
The deer I shot didn't run off they did a flip and that was all.

If you're shooting a 300 RUM at night, how bad is the muzzle flash?

I shot at a pack of wild dogs one evening with my 270, couldn't tell if I hit anything for 2-3 seconds until my eyes readjusted - I assume the flash for a RUM at night has to be worse.

Pretty awesome destruction of the coyote!

I have a 300RUM, took it hunting this fall for whitetails, didn't get the opportunity to try it on anything yet. Makes the rocks and dirt clods fly up from behind the target backer, thats for sure.
