I have a browning a bolt 2 in 300 rum. Leupold 2001 model vari-x III 6.5x20x40 . I just got my hornady eld-x 212 grain bullets in and online hornady calls for a 3.900 col. Well that is way too big for my magazine and I can't find an extended mag for it so.......
Is it safe to load these to 3.620 which is my max mag length or have I effectively turned my beautiful bolt gun into a single shot rifle? I have yet to load any but will probably start out with 80.2 grains retumbo In fed. Once fired brass and go from there. I really hate to single load but this gun only sees so much action a year. Limited it's use to days I feel like lookin down an old railroad tram using my Polaris ranger roof as a bench rest.
Any reloading info for these bullets in this caliber would be appreciated. Thanks
