i also have a 444 magnaported 14" barrel and a 45-70 14" barrel.....i've used the 45-70 too take a Maine moose with and this summer i'll be using it for a South Dakota buffalo. It's amazing what a 405gr cast lead bullet will do too a big animal. It dropped my moose right on the spot that i shot him at. He went down like a wet dish rag from an 87yd shot. I'm expecting the same from the buffalo.
