Working on load for 280 ackley. Looking at accurate 4350 and h4350. Hodgkins says 52.2 /55.5 on h4350 and 59/62.2 on the accurate with 150+ fps gain.
Anybody ever use the accurate 4350 load for a 280ai.

Found a quick load chart for a 139 bullet. It list accurate 4350 as 57.1 max . which make a lot more sense than what hodgdon has on it's website. Quickload Accurate 4350 99.5 57.1 3.70 3112 100.0 63000 10954 1.117 ! Near Maximum. Hodgdon

Accurate 4350 is the slowest burning of the 4350's. My accurate reloading manual doesn't list 280AI. I've used A4350 in my 338 RCM with very good accuracy.
PS, Going back thru my notes, I didnt test A-4350 in my 280ai. In my rifle with 120 barnes, RL-22 and H-4831 shot best with H-4831 shooting .2" and was most consistent. Tested a bunch of different powders in it.

I've used Accurate 4350 in a few different cartridges. It's a lot slower than H4350 or IMR4350, so I will not be buying anymore. It was accurate in my .338 WM though, but 200+ fps slower than book data.

Im using 58.1gn of H4350 and getting 3200fps with a 140gn Absolute Hammer. Unless your using the same bullet I wouldn't reference my data.

Using hornady 139 innerlock. Pretty much decided to use h4350 . I have it and would have to buy the accurrate. Will see.
